Commemorating 1906 earthquake

WALNUT CREEK Calif. — As part of the 100-year anniversary of the San Francisco earthquake the Walnut Creek California Stake held an emergency preparedness fair on April 8. Between 1200-1300 people attended with some 500 who were Church members as well as the mayor from Concord. Participants put together nearly 600 72-hour survival food kits and conducted a blood drive. There were booths on food storage water storage and preparing for an emergency. Local law enforcement officers and the fire department participated.
